Introductory course sea kayaking 2025 (3 hrs)

Infoteket organizes a 3-hour introductory course in kayaking on Mjøsa. The course is held in Nessundet between Tingnes and Helgøya, and is part of the Norwegian 'Padleforbundet's Våttkortstige'. In the course we focus on safety and paddling technique. After the course, participants will be issued a wet card.

 

The course itself takes about 3 hours but you should allow more time in terms of changing clothes, issuing wet cards and talking afterwards.

The price for the course is NOK 1250,- p.p.

Use of Infoteket's kayaking equipment including a life jacket and wetsuit is included in the price. The wet card that is issued after completing the course is also included in the price. Certified instructor.

• Entering the kayak and sitting position

• Effective paddling technique

• Buddy rescue

• Disembarkation

• Paddling safety

• Local paddling conditions

Basic course sea kayaking 2025 (16 hrs)

Would you like to learn more about kayaking, technique and safety? Then a 2-day (16 hour) NPF basic course is for you! The course is held on Mjøsa, in Nessundet between Helgøya and Tingnes. The course is part of the Norwegian 'Padleforbundet's Våttkortstige'. With this certification you can rent kayaks throughout Scandinavia.

Our certified instructors follow the Norwegian Padleforbund's course schedule, see Basic course Sea. The course runs over 2 consecutive days.

 

The price for the course is NOK 2500,- p.p.

Use of the Infoteket kayaking equipment including life jacket and wetsuit is included in the price. The wet card that is awarded after completing the course is also included in the price.
